The first thing an Armenian Community in a diaspora situation builds is a Church.
The second is a School.
Although a relatively small diaspora, Vancouver Armenians know the necessity of having an Armenian School.
This is why for 43 years, ARS Vancouver Chapter has been proudly offering the Araz Saturday School to its community.

Besides being a second home for our children and youth,
it is in this smithy that they learn the Aypoupen,
their mother tongue,
their history,
their ancestors’ faith.
And most importantly it is in this place where they get a sense
of their Armenian identity, to help them grow and become
exemplary citizen’s in this blessed country we live in.
